Akane has a family. Two very loving parents, doting grandpa, and quite a few very dedicated 'uncles.'

The problem stems from the fact that her family runs a powerful Yakuza syndicate. They've been involved in everything from extortion to illegal gambling to straight up murder. Akane has some very mixed feelings about all this.
